Stay-at-home moms are to liberals what conservative blacks are to the black community as a whole; they simply don't fit the mold. As a result, they are to be ridiculed, chastised and held up to their respective groups as being flawed and abnormal. After all, if they were " real" women, they would have "real" jobs - just as "real" blacks don't support conservative values.

I think the focus of both side is the plight of single mothers and I think almost half the births in US now born to single moms.
