Washington Whispers reported on the African trip.

First lady Michelle Obama’s family trip to South Africa and Botswana in June cost taxpayers well over $424,000, according to new accounting based on Air Force manifests obtained by Judicial Watch, a taxpayer watchdog group.

The use of Air Force aircraft alone for the June 21-27 trip cost $424,142, said the group, and that doesn’t include the food, lodging, and ground transportation for the 21 family and staff members.

Charles Ogletree, a Harvard law professor, said at a panel following Holder's speech that Trayvon Martin is "a symbol of what's wrong" with the criminal justice system.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann have had Watkins as a guest, apparently nobody legitimate could be found for their time slots.  Olbermann having spun a lung nut is out there in the solar system broadcasting, likely  from Hisanus apparently to Martians as he had no voice here.

Bowling For Hillbillies

Well, I guess bowling is for everyone. I joined a Friday morning men’s league this past weekend. I figured what the hay? I have all summer off, and this will give me a break from golfing, fishing, and working out. Thing is, I have not bowled in at least fifteen years. Granted, I was never an Earl Anthony, but I could chuck the stone to the tune of 165-175 average. I have my ball, and I even took three general ed credits in college. That is right, I took the units of bowling!

I have a few weeks to get some lane time in. I am sure I will be the youngest guy on the team, and I do not want to get tuned-up by some fossil, though I am sure it will happen. I will also have to be careful not to age myself! Ya know, hangin’ with the gray set I might start eating dinner at 3pm, and pulling my britches up so high that I will have to reach into my pockets to scratch my ears.
