Just Another Racist From Chicago

No surprise here, heck, we have one in the Oval Office right now!

So here’s what I want to tell you. See, let’s see if we can make a connection here. Slavery. Segregation. Black codes. Jim Crow. What, what did they all have in common? Anybody getting’ scared? Government sponsored racism.”

“Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy. Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children,” he said.

“The NRA does not like me, and I’m okay with that. We’ve got to get the gun debate back to center, and it’s got to come with the recognition of who’s paying the price for the gun manufacturers being rich and living in gated communities,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy illustrated his point by recalling a crime scene investigation while he was a police official in Newark, New Jersey where five children were shot, two of whom were killed. McCarthy said when he got home, he turned on his television to unwind and found an episode of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” showing.

“She was caribou hunting and talking about the right to bear arms. Why wasn’t she at the crime scene with me?”

The Sun-Times reported in Saurday’s editons that McCarthy made a statement which the paper said, “did not address Pearson’s criticisms nor the St. Sabina flap, other than offering a toned-down assessment of the scourge of illegal guns on Chicago’s streets”. (‘Pearson’ is Ricahrd Pearson, head of the Illinois Rifle Association, who made remarks critical of McCarthy’s video statements).

McCarthy has now issued this statement to WLS Radio,

“As a law enforcement professional with 30 years of experience, I have recognized the surplus of illegal firearms on our streets and the disparate impact of gun-related violence in diverse communities. The fact is firearms are too easily obtained by criminals.

The commitment of law enforcement must be to holding violent criminals accountable for their actions and at the same time recognizing individuals’ constitutional rights.

Law enforcement cannot do this alone, and strong gun laws against illegal firearms are critical in order to maintain public safety and private rights.

Gang and drug activity intersect with guns, and all three must be the focus of violence-reduction efforts in our communities.

My obligation is to devoting every available resource at the disposal of the Chicago Police Department in order to eliminate crime and violence in the City.”

Me For President

Thinking about running for president. I just need about a gazzilion dollars! 1 minute after taking the oath of office: I open up all American land for natural resource exploration, and extraction by American companies only. All energies produced must stay in America. 2nd thing I do is give a five-year tax exemption to these companies, and any American companies that build refineries. 3rd thing I do is bring home all troops from every foreign base, and war theater, declare our southern border a war zone, and place 100,000 troops with orders that would allow for them to stop all who cross by any means necessary. 4th, I would close the federal reserve and go back to tying our currency to the “Gold Standard.” Lastly, any American caught and convicted of siding,financing, or taking part in any muslom activity to harm America, or Americans, will receive the death penalty; firing squad and it will be televised. I figure I would receive 20-40 million votes on my energy policy alone. Even tree hugging, bed wetting liberals hate high energy prices!
