    Without the public safety net programs our nation will become third world in a hurry.

    I like the idea of getting those on aide an education I suggest tech schools so they can learn a trade.

    Some of those disabled should be given surgeries to correct their disabilities and get them back on the work force.
    As for medicare they may need to go the way of the Canadians you pay only once per month one fee and everything is covered including prescriptions, as it is now the person has to pay three or four times a month and it will drain any bank accounts.

      The safety net must be provided by non-government sources. Look at the mess our country is in now. The federal government is filled with many evil folks. They are not there to help anyone, they are there to consolidate power and wealth. This is why it is so important not to rely, or take, anything from government.
