I have received several comments over the past few weeks about the re-blog option. It Sites the original author, gives the link, and publishes 3-5 lines on average. In my opinion, it is a great way for all of us bloggers to continue to get our “message” out, what ever it is. It also is a great tool to gain exposure for our blog, and to share our favorite bloggers.
I guess that if somebody does not want their material shared, they can always ask it not to be re-blogged. I don’t know if we can opt out and not allow for our work to be re-blogged.

This is a tough one. I would assume if you are posting your blog to the public, you are essentially giving the public the option to repost your blog. If you don’t want your blog re-posted, then you have the option to make it private. I agree with you that it is great exposure and I take it as a compliment if someone wants to re-post my work. As long as they are not plagiarizing, it’s fine with me! 🙂

Personally, I would take it as a compliment.

Good points Tara and a fully agree. I like the fact that a re-blogged post can’t be changed by the person re-posting. Also, the site is given from where it came from. I have made many new friends thanks to this tool.

Thank you so much! It’s so cool because I had just got done commenting that I would take “reblogging” as a compliment, hit the submit button and when my comment appeared there was my blog Reblogged. It just doesn’t get any cooler than that! You have made my day Hill Billy!

I don’t see any problem in reblogging , because the author and source of the content is clearly shown.
