A thought has been tumbling around in my head for a few weeks. What is up with Newt and this āMassachusetts Moderateā meme?
Perhaps a āDog Whistleā to the millions and millions of voters in the ācenter?ā
There are the fringes- far left and far right- who sadly seem to control the primary process every four years.
Then there are the rest of the voters. Some lean a bit right, some lean a bit left.Ā āModerateā is a good word for them.
Is Newtās REAL job in this primary to establish Romney as a āmoderateā in the minds of the voters?
How many started out not wanting to vote for Romney- perceiving him to be owned by the same entities that financed teh fraud? And how many now are thinking āOMG! Better Romney than the lying cheating impeaching hypocrite from hell!ā
Moderate. Just what the center really wants.

I think at this point it doesn’t really matter if someone is right, central or left; what matters is that we don’t have 4 more years of this same man in office. I normally apply a much greater litmus test to a candidate, but this election cycle will be quite different and I’ll be voting for the candidate I think has the best chance of defeating Pres. Obama and leading this country out of the whole that we’re in. PS and I don’t think it will be Newt as much as I think he’s got great ideas.
I think this is one time that we need to abandon who we think may be the best candidate according to our Individual values and vote for the candidate we think has the greatest chance of defeating the incumbent. Elections normally are about who we individually want to win for a multitude of reasons, but this time I think we must look at the nation and our Constitution and who will best serve it.
