Where Is Wally?

Where is Wally and Ward Cleaver when you need them? I can’t believe that the televisions of today act as potal for evil and crudeness. The four major stations; Fox, ABC,NBC, and CBS are filled with shows that would have not even been allowed in theaters in the 40’s,50’s and most of the 60’s. I will not even list them, due to the fact that there are just too many!

There’s really a contrast in pacing too. They took their time in those days to develop a story. The short attention spans of today would never stand for such leisurely shenanigans! TV was definitely more positive and civilized back in the day.

What I like with the old shows is the lack of personal put downs. The “Your mamma” type of stuff. I learned about these shows thanks to syndication, I am am slowly building my dvd collection with shows like these.

I agree totally…..and too, I didn’t watch many of the tv series that were on then (except Andy Griffith, Bewitched, the girl in the bottle…and the ‘beve’ of course),
but caught them in syndication. Nowadays, it is all about horror, drugs or murdering people in stories and cuss words and insinuations regarding sex. I use to like cartoons back then, too, but today I really don’t understand them….it is sad….not so much for us, but the new generation of young folk….but how can they miss what they didn’t see?
