I swear, it’s enough to make me take up chain smokin’ on a lawn chair outside a Motel 6 TCHB. I’m so sick of this stuff.
I know that this is a result of having so much opportunity without much consideration for what that decision entails in the form of responsibility. America, the land of milk and honey (I believe it is) offers its children every opportunity and advantage in life. It’s up to that individual to take the opportunity and make something of it. These opportunities are now perceived as a a right, not a gift to be grateful for. It is that heavily persistent thought pattern that also empowers those who probably shouldn’t be here as well.
Mc, thing is, there are some here in this country who think these opportunities are their right too! We used to be a land of laws. You allow law breakers into this country, and what do we slowly become? Yup, the old saying garbage in garbage out.
If you don’t mind, I am going to re-post your above comment as a post. Really well stated my friend.
Thank you TCHB. My mother was a naturalized citizen and my father a natural born citizen. The immigrant grandparents instilled their love for this country in us. They worked long arduous hours, but they did it with joy knowing that this blessing was not a possibility for them in the “old” country.
Did you say “Blessing”? There is one of the core problems we have in this country. Blessings are given to us, and we are not entitled to them. Our founding Father’s knew this. They also knew that we as a nation would turn from our Creator(God) and try to run it on our own. Not good!
Proud Military Mom's Common Sense Blog
Just a working class, empty nesting, life long Democrat disgusted with the DNC, the Democratic Party, the ‘RULZ’ Committee and the power brokers who think we should all fall in line and vote for the selectee. Country before party every time!
