I understand the reasons for the drug testing. We feel ripped off by derelicts. But do they fund rehabs? No. Addicts cannot just stop. The bottom line not considered here is that it is the children that suffer and don’t get fed. Miami is in the top 10 poorest cities( the spectacular wealth contrast is astonishing). Seems like half the people are on something. The whole place would really collapse without food stamps. Another matter that liberals or conservatives don’t know is that the food stamps are an indirect federal subsidy to the the agriculture industry and all the related industry related to delivering and selling the food in stores. Without the giveaway at least 5 million would become unemployed because of the end of the program.
