I think that unions are good for the country and good for you and me if we work for any large employer. Even if our companies are not unionized, a unionized work force in other companies will raise the general pay scale and act to curb employer abuses of the work force.
My biggest issue is with public employee unions. As for private Unions? You can’t allow wages to go uncontrolled. You can’t have every paying $50,000 plus a year. A private employer should have the right to set their own pay scales. If a person does not like it, then go work elsewhere. The employer who pays the best, and treats employees fairly, will out produce their competiton, thus being successful. There should also be no minimum wage imposed by the government at any level.
I am a part of the CSEA and I am disgusted by what the top leadership has done over the past 25-30 years. California’s public schools has been nothing short of raped by them. The CSEA has also endorssed almost every single politician that has been a party to raising our taxes, and our cost of living. Yup, public unions a awesome! NOT! 🙂
Blacks have been used by the politicians for years. We call it “victimization” Politicians do it to all minorities, gays. Of course, the white Christian conservative is always to blame. I am tellin’ ya,I am going off the grid pretty darn soon:)
And PS – Unions are the bane of every country, Here, every year around this time, we have strike upon strike, and they want the most ridiculous increases. And who gets to suffer from that? The consumer that’s already being taxed to death by the government…
