Back In The Saddle

Yup, that’s right. The flu bug may have won a battle, but I just one the war! In other words, I was able to shoot a decent nine holes of golf yesterday during my team’s match. I have said this before, that coaching high school golf is the greatest gig a coach can have, because we play the same nine as do the teams! No other high school sport allows this. Thank goodness! Most of my buddies who coach other sports, like football, and wrestling, would smash the best of their players. I am sure the school’s insurance company would not be very happy about this. As of now, I am still able to beat the best of my players. This is what makes golf so great, it ain’t the age of the player, but the amount of time, and effort, that the player has under their belt. A ten years old kid, who has been playing for five years, can beat a 40-year-old who has been playing for two years. In other words, grand children can compete with their gramps! Gramps could also beat his kid. Not very many sports allow the entire family to play for a life time. And no, checkers is not a sport!

My oldest son is a PGA Golf Pro in IL. And, a businessman. I sure hope he teaches me someday. He is also a Golf Instructor. Looks like fun.

Not something I’ve ever cottoned on to, the golf thing.
But hey, if it blows your hair back, why not 😉
At least you get to enjoy something that sometimes resembles work!!

If I am doing things rigt, work never resembles work! As for golf? You can go to a driving range and chip and putt for free. And most places around here serve alcohol. See what you are missing? 🙂

Oh, they serve alcohol here too.
Thing is, I don’t really imbibe, so it’s kind of a waste when seen from that point of view.
And NOTHING is free in SA, not even putting!!

OK, you need to adopt my life plan: Truck and a camper and live off of the grid! Work a part time job for food and smokes money. Take up fishing! You have all the makings of a “lLady-billy”! Hillbilly is not a person, it is a way of life:)

John, nice post bro. I played high school golf back in the day at one of your TVL rivals, it was the best spring I ever had. Slices, fores, mulligans galore, and hardly a dull moment. And to think coaches get paid for that. Not bad at all. P.S. I’m done w’ the Cornerstone, Robert didn’t want to crack down on the hateful socks. This site is way better.

Ya see were Robert re-posted one of Emerson bullshit filled post? He is trying to slam my insurance man/family friend; J. David Wright. He better tread lightly, or he will be sued for defamtion of character. Looks like I am going to have to turn the spot light back on Emerson Drake of Modesto. I will post his public mailing address so people can write him! 🙂

Exactly, John. Your insurance owner buddy has more character than the land whale grow-op dude whose crap doesn’t stink and has the unmitigated gall to point out how everyone else is wrong – people in glass houses like him definitely shouldn’t throw stones.

Looks Like Emerson atleast met with Mr. Wright. I just hope people realize Emerson is a proven liar, who is willing to put false words in other’s mouths.

John, even the Evil Empire (USSR) met with Ronald Reagan. He’ll do and say anything to please sheep like Wayne who keep following him around like he’s something special. If you have to do a new expose of the land whale grow op (courtesy of that awesome pic of the 400 pound slob from The Bee), please do. Dude’s a piece of work and FOS, then again he fits in w’ trailer trash.
