The Government Tellin’ Me To Go Green? I Tell’em To Go To…..

The only green I am going is either the stuff that I get when I cash my check, or the stuff in my Red Solo Cup on st. Paddy’s Day!

America is the baddest ass nation the galaxy has ever known. Folks envy us so much, they break in! And then they use our laws to keep their free loading rears here! There are other great folks, who are willing to follow the rules, stand in line for years, just to be citizens.

And what has helped make us so wonderful you ask? Well it sure ain’t wind, solar, and butterfly power. It is good old fashion fossil fuels. Thank God that he allows dead plants and animals to turn into energy! That’s right. I put Dino and Barney in all my gas tanks. Yabba Fabba Doo, I love you crude!

This stuff, along with coal, and natural gas, has helped us kick every enemies ass, create the best medical facilities on the planet, the best food-producing industry ever, and it put friggin’ dudes on the moon. I sure did not see a solar panel, or wind mill, during any of the Lunar landings.

And now it is a fact, we have enough natural gas, to get us by for another couple of centuries, along with shale, and coal. And technology has advanced to the point that all this stuff is safe. Of course, some dirt and plants might be displaced, but I believe our current quality of life out weighs any of these minor disturbances.

Of course, this does not sit well for the folks who think that Waldon Pond should be a model to re-build our nation around. Even Emerson figured out that “That dog don’t hunt.”

As funny as this was, humans can’t go on as they are.
    Americans included.
Time will come when there’s nothing left to burn, and what then?
I read this one day – we don’t inherit the earth from our fathers. We’re borrowing it from our kids…

I agree, but until we find other fuels sources, we don’t have any choice. Many people here in the states complain about high fuel prices, but don’t want to use any of our natural resources. This forces fuels to be purchased from countries that are our enimeis.

At the moment we are paying R12 for 1 litre of petrol. At R7.50 to the dollar, and however many litres in a gallon, work it out.
There are many alternative methods of energy.
The only reason I don’t yet drive a hybrid is because I just can’t afford to buy a new car.
But there are alternatives out there – bio diesel, gas – in cars. They’re looking at hydrogen motors, probably methane fueled ones too.
Much as I love the sound of a fully functioning V8 Hemi motor – it seems a thing of the past… or a thing for seriously rich people 😉

Methane is a good one! I guess it is just the greedy American in me, but as long as we can pump the crude out of the ground, I will drive my old Ford truck(1974) with the 460ci! Like you, I love the sound! 🙂

Might as well use it until it’s gone I suppose.
Just be ready for when it’s not available anymore…
One day I’ll have my muscle car 😉 Hope I can afford to drive it then!!

        Dude!!!
        I am so jealous!!!
Would cut off my left boob for a 68 Mustang. Candy apple red, tan interior…Hell! Both boobs!!
Who needs boobs when you have a car like that 😉
Why on earth do you not have them anymore? Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!!!

I had four vehicles at the time, and a guy made me a $5,000 dollar cash offer. I still have the truck, my pop bought it new in 1974. It is my only ride. Ya might want to rethimk the “boob” removal idea, kinda messes up the drive in movie date thing 🙂

Don’t forget those ‘golf course greens’! We are working on restoration of a 1956 Chevy pickup and a 1956 Chevy 2 door post. Love the old cars!
