Just Like I Said: California’s Prop 30 Is A Self Imposed Wage Cut

How many of my fellow C.S.E.A. members were good little sheep and followed the direction of our top leadership and voted to cut their pay, and chase away our income source: Businesses and tax paying residents? And there is zero guarantee that the money stolen, I mean received by the state, will do anything worth while over the next six years to help our workers.

How long is it going to take most public union members to realize that voting for tax increases, mandated government healthcare, and politicians that support these things, will be our financial foundering, not our flourishing. Why is it our leadership continues to pursue the same strategy that has led us to this fiscal mess, and expecting differing results? I am guessing it is all about political power and the love of money. And to hell with everything else. That is not leadership, nor is it caring for the good of the workers, it is solipsistic behavior from our leaders in the C.S.E.A.

We are in CA. One of my husband’s co-workers recently found a job with the state. He said that he dutifully voted against every tax increase for years. But now he realized that it’s all futile, and if you can’t beat them, join them. Sad.
