What Barack Won’t Say About Guns

This is so simple it almost hurts. Barry won’t say that the majority of shooting deaths in America are gang related. He won’t mention the statistical characteristics of the shooters, unless they are white. He won’t make a connection between the Colorado and Connecticut shooters and the medication they had been taking. He won’t mention that all the children he is surrounding himself with are just steps away from semi-automatic and fully automatic weapons. He won’t say that his children attend a fully secure, and armed school. No mention that crime rates drop when private citizens are allowed to carry firearms. He won’t utter a word about Fast and Furious and how the program armed foreign gangs that resulted in Americans being murdered. He will keep silent the fact that hand guns are the weapon of choice for criminals. He won’t explain the difference between the terms “assault Rifle” and assault Weapons.” He won’t mention the thousand of cases where people used their legally owned fire arms to successfully protect their families and properties.

OK, like I said, it is just too easy to slap down Barack. His puppet masters love the fact that the American people are too busy trying to hold on to their second Amendment right not to see the real crimes being committed: The complete governmental take over of America’s most financially rich businesses. Health, banking, and auto ring a bell? And I loved the AIG commercial thanking the American people for the “LOAN”! It was not a loan jackasses, it was thievery!

You are 100% correct. I listened to the press conference, and he did not mention any of those facts.

TX3, I did not see the propaganda conference because I know what was going to be said. How many kids were standing around him? I think using children as a prop constitutes child abuse!

Hey John, I did not watch, I listened and was able to hold down my breakfast, barely. There were at least 4 children, according to photos. The use of children is classic dictator propaganda tactics.

I agree, Obama could have said a lot more of things in his speech, but then a lot people would complain about him talking too much and not knowing when to shut up. I did not listen to the speech though, but did he say…
That most of the gun deaths aren’t gang-related, because they are suicides?
That there is a strong correlation between gun availability and the suicide rate, and guns are
That even for whites, the murder rate is still 2-3 times higher than in pretty much every European country?
Than for each shooting death there are 5-10 non-lethal wounds and the main reason the gun death rate is not double or triple what we have now is because doctors have gotten much better in saving the shooting victims? (no wonder, with so much practice)
That the whole reason for the Fast and Furious program was that with our current laws, somebody could buy a truckful of AR-15’s and re-sell them to whoever he wants?
That it wasn’t Obama’s dictatorial whim to hire armed guards for his daughters, but that it was Congress which passed a law authorizing the protection of a President and his family? (You should be happy that Obama is following the law for once 🙂
That Obama himself is getting something like 30 death threats daily, and even if 29 of them are just Nugentesque, nothing-but-hot-air type of death threats, any one of us would try to get 24-7 security for each member of a family in the same type of situation?

Suicide? According to liberals, that is a personal right. I have no issue with politicians having armed personal security, I just wan the ability to arm and protect myself with any type of fire arm I choose. Check the nationla stas, gun crimes are commited, for the most part, by gang members. And they don’t give a hoot about laws or executive orders:)

I think suicide is anyone’s right, but like any right, I don’t think it should be abused. A gun is the quickest and easiest way to kill yourself, requiring minimal planning and preparation, so if a friend takes their life with a gun, you can’t help but wonder if they’d still be alive if a gun wasn’t readily available.
I took your advice and spent some time looking for national crime stats. According to the FBI and DOJ stats I’ve found, most victims were killed by their family members or acquaintances, and less than 10% were actually killed in gang violence. In DOJ link, “Gang violence accounted for 1% of all homicides in 1980 and 6% of all homicides in 2008” (assuming that all gang murderers used guns which probably wasn’t the case, it would still be just 9% of all gun homicides

If you have a different statistic, I’d like to see the link.
I think people have the right to own guns, but the government has the right to regulate who can buy guns, how many, and what types, and enforce those regulations. If you disagree with my interpretation of 2nd Amendment (which happens to coincide with hardly liberal Justice Scalia’s interpretation), please explain why the the 2nd Amendment is the only one that contains the words “well-regulated”.

Check this site from the FBI http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-8

8,583 gunr-re;lated murders in 2011. So so 71% would be roughly 6,100. Maybe I should rephrase and say criminal on criminal crime:) Violent felons should not be allowed to own fire arms. After that, if I am a law abiding citizen, I should have no restraints on how much, or what type of fire arms I own.

I don’t get what 71% represents in your comment – if in 2008 years ago 6% to 10% murders were gang violence, it probably wasn’t much different in 2012.
About criminal on criminal, just to be clear, when FBI wrote about people killed by family members, I don’t think they meant mafia family members 🙂 If you don’t violent felons buying guns, there’d have to be a background checks for all gun sales in all states.

“I think suicide is anyone’s right, but like any right, I don’t think it should be abused.”

… who are you to determine when something has been abused?

… Americans get their Rights from the United States Constitution, not from what man thinks is a right.

      BOTTOM LINE:

The American People cannot compromise on their Constitutional Rights… because the United States Constitution must not be compromised.
