Workin’ Man’s Blues

I am living the country song’s life. And nobody tells it better than my man Merle!

I was listening way back then, almost at the beginning. My favorites were not his No. 1.s, but they are still in my head…’Shade Tree Fix-it Man’ and ‘From Now Own All My Friends Are Gonna Be Strangers.’ Of course I remember ‘Workin’ Man Blues’ and most certainly ‘Mama Tried.’
That said and thinking his life’s experiences should give him quite an insight about life, his remarks about meeting Obama make me think either his old mind is closed or mine is. Maybe it’s half and half. Been pasturized and homogenized. Maybe I should try to be more tolerant to Obama’s ideas?
