This is a crusher, and I am not usually a affected by the death of a performer I never met. But George is different. Not only is he my favorite, but was my pop’s favorite too. Can’t tell ya how many beers I have guzzled listening to George’s songs.

I missed news on it. Learned here. Best place to find out. I just be so sad now. I sure I remember like your daddy and as far back. Would rather hear about it where appreciated than CNN. But I will go to those sites to read more. Same feeling as when my local Hank Locklin passed not long ago.

It’s shocking to see the greats slowly leaving us. The current group of country singers aren’t the same. Nice post …

I think the songs that come to mind, at least for me, are the ones that seemed to reflect situations I experienced. Some country, some something else. I can think of lots of songs I liked, when I think on it. Some reflect happy times, some sad times.
There are three that I don’t really have to think about. They drift into my mind from time to time. First Leo Sayer & Long Tall Glasses, then Randy Van Warmer & You Left Me Just When I Needed You Most, third Willie Nelson & Just A Girl I Used To Know.
Sure everybody has their own. Disclosure would tell alot about a person, I guess. Then again I might just be fooling with you. 🙂
