Sucker For Classic Cartoons

I was talking cartoons this morning with a friend. Yeah, that is how deep of a thinker I am. This is one of my all time favorites.

Pretty degrading racist stuff by today’s standards. That aside I really enjoyed Heckle and Jeckle.

Carl, that is the thing..these cartoons are not racist/bigoted at all. WB made these shorts with hillbillies, hicks, Indians, Hispanics ect. Today’s comics, usually black, are able to say and make fun of everybody, but try being a white comic and make fun of non-whites. Hmmmm:0

That’s the point. I am sure the intent was not racist, but that is the point-not understanding that it is against all the groups mentioned. Yes it is pc to make slurs against whites and Christians these days. But you won’t see those “equality” minded lefties on MSNBC(Al, Rachael and Martin) or Jessie speak out about it and Don Imus got crucified. Black comics, well half the routine is race but I have never heard white comics do the same- just funny stuff. The reverse discrimination against esp white males is appalling. Miami is now 80% minority and 50% foreign born. A white guy does not have a chance at even a low paying blue collar job let alone move up a corporate ladder in the public or private sector. A Majority of doctors here are Hispanic, from Middle East or India and nurses from Caribbean. It is ironic that as white male I was sensitive to the cartoon, yet after 33 years in black high school classrooms they still call me cracker. They are so ignorant. How can a guy whose ancestors are from Rome and Sicily be a cracker?

I rooted for coyote and Sylvester cat. Road Runner and Tweety Bird were just too clever.
