Junior Seau Commits Suicide

Money and fame can’t buy happiness. I guess junior found that out.

Police received a 911 call about a gunshot and possible suicide at Seau’s Oceanside, Calif., residence around 10 a.m. PT, a dispatcher told the San Diego Union-Tribune. That publication too had confirmation of Seau’s death.

“Junior was an icon not only in San Diego but throughout the nation. Of course this will affect a lot of people, not in the least the children and kids who look up to him,” Chargers chaplain Shawn Mitchell told the Union-Tribune.

“He had a great impact on many lives. He’s changed my life in many ways, I’m sure.”

In a release, the Chargers said: “Everyone at the Chargers is in complete shock and disbelief right now. We ask everyone to stop what they’re doing and send their prayers to Junior and his family.”

Tebow Bad? Bubba Good? God Is Great!

While on the golf course yesterday, I had a pretty good conversation with my co-worker/friend about how Bubba Watson has not come under media fire for his strong Christian beliefs. Yup, Bubba gave thanks to God for allowing him to have the skills to win the 2012 Masters golf tourney. Bubba has always credit to God for all of his blessings, and not a peep from the godless group in the media, or the fans of the sport. Yet, Tebow is attacked by those who don’t believe. Tim has lived his faith, like Bubba. Tim has never attacked any person or group, like Bubba. Yet, he is demonized by many in the media and other thick-headed, human atheist turds.
Most Christians understand that non-believers dislike the Christian faith because it exposes their deviant life styles. What they don’t understand, is that we all have sin in our nature, but God gives us a chance at redemption. Something the godless community does not give a rip about.
Anyway, back to Tebow and Bubba. Tebow plays a sport that needs its bad boy image. Forget about the fact that each team has players that are part of a prayer group, and who gather with their opponents after each game to give thanks to God for all their blessings. With golf, the bad boy image is not tolerated, nor is it promoted. Many in the media consider the vast majority of golfers as products of the rich and spoiled. Again, a false image of the vast majority of PGA, and Nationwide Tour players. Honesty, integrity, and being a good person is required to be on these tours. Something that is not always required in the NFL.
Bottom line, there a hundreds of guys like Tebow in the NFL. Always have been and always will be. Thing is, they don’t fit the disrespectful, in your face, this is my house, who cares about your criminal life style image that is the NFL. Bubba, does fit the image of the PGA.

Three Day Weekend: Not By Choice

Yes, normally three-day weekends rock, but when the third day is forced due to a seemingly minor malady, it takes most of the fun out of it.
Sunday was a really good day: two playoff football games too watch. I am not a big fan of the Patriots, seeing my team is the Dolphins, but the Raven stink, because of one player: Ray Lewis. He is one of the most marketed player for the NFL, but he his not a good guy. Some years back he, and a few of his buddies piled in to a limo, along with a couple other dudes, but when the doors re-opened, only Ray-Ray and his crew climbed out, leaving two men stabbed to death behind. For some unknown reason, nobody in Ray’s crew saw anything, along with Ray. I guess you just can’t get a natural-born street punk to ever change. To this day, nobody has answered for these murders.
Then the 49’ers lost in a really great game. Again, SF beat my Dolphins back in the day so I am no friend of the Red and Gold.
I also watched what used to be the Bob Hope Desert Classic, but now it is the Humana Tourney. It is a new format, and sadly, Bubba Clinton and his world health police have their claws in it. These big domestic,world government guys try to hoodwink people into believing they give a darn about your health, when it is nothing more than a control, and money issue. Bubba is says as much, but too many typical libs, and ignorant RHINO types don’t get it.

So, after all this fun, I wake up in the middle of the night and a swear I ate a sack of Ready Mix concrete! Yup, that keep me up most of the night, and well into the morning. It was either gravity, or my tapeworm working overtime, but the issue finally resolved itself:) I could hear the birds chirp, see butterflies dance; life is good, once more.

Two Face: The NFL

There is no doubt that there are many really nice, Christian, and non-Christian guys working in the NFL. That is right, it is work to these folks, and a game to the fans. I was sitting in the local Applebees’ a week or so back, and the guy sitting nearest to me comments how he hates “Tebow.” OK, I figured I would ask him why? If he was a Raider fan, which he was, I completely understand if he says he hates every thing about the Broncos. So I did ask him, and his reply was not quite what I expected. He said the dumb bastard “does not have to pray everytime after scoring a “T.D.” So I in returned said that it was his own version of a T.D. celebration, just like almost every other dude taking to the house.

So I said ,What if you ran the marketing department for the NFL, and you wanted to put a face to your product that reflected all that is good about it? As of now, you face is mostly Ray Lewis. The same Ray Lewis who was in a limo with three of his homies, along with two other dudes. When the doors open, the two dudes are stabbed to death, and Ray, and his pals did not see anything.” “And thank goodness there are a lot more Tebows in your league, than Rays.”

Well, the guy actually said he had not thought of it like that. I wonder how many folks don’t think of it like that? Is this world so messed up, that when a good, honest, clean living sports star comes along, it is seen as something negative? So who would you want baby sitting your kids, or watching your back? Tebow or Ray-Ray?
