My Post-Union Election Update

I attended the first union meeting tonight since losing the election in December. As some of you already know, I lost by 13 votes. Too close for a few in my chapter apparently. Come to find out, the current officers decided to add a prerequisite for the president’s seat only. In order to run, a person must attend, and complete the Job Steward’s training. Yup, never mind the four-year degrees in English and Business. Just complete 16 hours of semi-brain washing from the punch drinkers in the C.S.E.A. that can’t tolerate a conservative’s views or ideas. Needles to say, that if more people like me were running the union for the past 25 years, we would not be in the mess we now find ourselves.

I can’t wait to inform every chapter member possible tomorrow about this “Event”. I figure it will open the eyes of those who chose not to vote in this past election. I also heard several times how some who did not vote for me, would have voted for me if I had taken the classes. Funny thing is, I completed the first level of training several years ago, but the Union decided to change the length of the courses, so I have to re-take the first stage again! So it looks like a win-win for me. Whether I take the courses or not, I will win.

John D. Heaton III Banned From CSEA’s Face Book Page: Conservative Voices Not Allowed

I just got the news yesterday. What words did I use to earn this ban? “F” the CSEA?” No. I responded to a posting telling members to vote for prop 30. I basically stated that ” prop 30 is a tax increase, thus a self-imposed wage decrease. There is a conservative population in the CSEA who do not agree with props and candidates that raise taxes, and that support issues that go against our morals and values. And that our voices are not allowed to be heard in with our union.” Yup, that is what I said, and I was banned from posting comments.

So much for “unity and solidarity”! The reason folks like me are so despised, is that we make valid points based on facts.

Spending What They Don’t Have But Want From You

I just read this article in the Manteca,”Manstinka” Bulletin. http://www.mantecabulletin.com/section/42/article/57451/

“The election a week from today has a $10 million immediate consequence for Manteca Unified School District.

Since Proposition 30 is a crucial piece of Gov. Jerry Brown’s “balanced” budget adopted for the current fiscal year that started July 1, if it fails to pass $6 billion in automatic cuts to education statewide would take place.

That means Manteca Unified would lose $10 million of the $30 million the state has promised the district for this fiscal year ending June 30, 2013.”

This shows what is wrong with the mind set of those who believe raising taxes solves bad buasiness practices in the public sector. Public unions have been brainwashing its members for years with this garbage.
Until citizens start holding politicians and public entities acountable, and not let them spend money they do not have, we will continue down the path to financial ruin.
