Why Buy The Man Made Global Warming Lie? I Mean Scam?

And I will keep my comments directed at the USA. We are, by far, the cleanest (to a fault) industrialized nation in the world. We have developed techniques that allow for the clean use of the dirtiest of fuels. And yet, we have folks that want to regress to a time when the only energy was fire and water. Could America attained such greatness without fossil fuels? Could we have fought and won two world wars? Or created a standard of living that is second to none? The answer is simply no. All of the things we take for granted is due to inexpensive fuels. From the variety of food and clothes that are found in our stores, to the terrific trifecta of transportation that allows us all to enjoy longer vacations, and more job opportunities: Planes trains and automobiles. Yup think wagons, horses, and balloons would provide the same ultra-convenient life style?

This is not to say we can’t incorporate wind,water, and solar power into our lives. Heck, I think all new homes should have solar panels. Nothing wrong with tossing a few windmills on the mountain tops. But it is societal suicide to suspend, or retard the use of fuels that helped build, and would take us beyond the already altitudinous standard of leaving we now have. We have more natural gas, and crude under our feet, than has ever been extracted from the entire planet to date. If we would develop the industry, we would be able to pay our national bills, with enough left over to appease the 53% of the population who likes to give crap away to those who don’t do crap to earn it. How is this not a win win, win situation?

Golfing Roddy Ranch: Antioch CA And Random Ramblings

Nothing like building a golf course inside a working cattle ranch. I will bypass all the exciting golf speak, and tell ya a bit about the course. It is located in Antioch, CA. As we drove in, it was obvious this is where a lot of folks who work in the Bay Area live. From what I was told, many a person who worked in the Silicon Valley chose this spot to hang their hats. I saw a few vacant homes, and some “for rent” signs for apartments or town houses if you like.

There is some elevation to the are, as there were plenty of tee-boxes that allowed us to view wind mills in the distance, at eye level. They call it green energy, but come May, the hills will be brown, and the wind sans color. There are some areas on the course that are staked “environmentally protected.” Which means if you hit “whitey” in them, you can’t go retrieve em. The areas consist of rocks and dirt, with a ton of lizards, rabbits, gophers, frogs, and maybe even Jimmy Hoffa.

I have to say, that this area is a great place for wind mills. The thing never stopped blowing. It is like a buzzed politician on the campaign trail. The goofy part is, that it changes directions so quickly. Makes me wonder how that affects the wind mill’s energy production? If it changes directions enough times, does it cancel out positive energy production?

Lastly, for those who think California has very little wide open spaces, think again. Large parts of the coast range and the foothills on the eastern side of California have vast amounts of open land. If I had a time machine, I would have created a law that would have forced housing, and non-agra business development outside of the San Joaquin Valley. Well, maybe I would allow for a few golf courses and watering holes!:)

Who Stole My Weekend?

Well, maybe it i was not stolen, but it sure seems like it. I once again completed another blog-free weekend. I also, made it for the most part, a news free one too. So what the heck does the Hillbilly do when he is not blogging to save his country? Well, there is always beer involved at some point. A typical weekend starts off with a breakfast at some local diner. My two favorite spots include a diner inside of one of the bowling alleys, and another called Ridgway’s. Both are of classical design. Long counters, and 60’s, 70’s decor, and lots of grub for your buck. Why people prefer joints like Denny’s or IHOP, is beyond me. Your cookie cutter spots are always consistent in their portions, as where the smaller, individualistic places can offer some great surprises. Like extra large portions of thick cut bacon,and menu specials. This past Saturday, I had a corn beef, Swiss cheese melt scramble with red and white onions. It was so good, I did not know if I should eat it, or date it! Shoot, it took me an extra couple of miles to run it off.

Once the breakfast is over, it is back home to do some light yard work, and watch some dvd’s till the eats make their way to the final resting place. Bombs away! Then it is off to the gym for a workout, and weather permitting, and it was not, to the driving range to work on the golf game. Finally, back to the Hillbilly Haven to scrub up, nap, and prepare for some cold ones.

Notice, at no time have I mentioned blogging, or even checking my blog. And news? Nope, unless it is on the Golf Channel, it ain’t being watched. I figure if I keep the ratio 2:5, I will maintain my sanity, whatever that is, and still be able to save the world. If it were reversed, I would probably end up my Elvis; carrying a case full of meds, and dying on the crapper from “straining Stool.” Kinda of a shitty way to go:)

A Rat,A Hillbilly And A Cowboy…….

No, it is not an intro for a joke, though it could be. It is something that I call “Blogworking.” Sorta like networking, but a term for us bloggers who stumble into a new blog site that gets us all juiced like a good 30 pack of Keystone, and then we invite our other new buddies over to sit and tip a few.

I have been a follower, and fan of the Rat is Right blog for some time now. I just recently sat my beer down, stopped, the Hillbilly limo (truck), and went in and checked out the Cowboypress’ blog. Excellent move on my part. Know I see that the Cowboy and The Rat are popin’ tops on the frosties! I have found other Hillbilly friends at various sites.

So the bottom line is that blogging brings folks together, whether we are of like mind or not. With a country being run by dividers, it is more important now, than ever, to take the time and meet, and speak to folks, because many of us might have some differing views on subjects, but we have to remember to set those things aside and remember we can all be pals. Rats,Hillbillies, Cowboy’s, and Rebels, and even liberals:)

There seems to be a bit of confusion from the left about freedom of speech. Well, in all fairness, they are remarkably consistent that freedom of speech applies only to the left. That’s unfortunate, but it is where we are at these days. I don’t care what Bill Maher or Rush Limbaugh say in their shows, but clearly there is no set standard here. It is an interesting tie in for me, as I have thought about artists and free speech, and the contrast between the Dixie Chicks and the Beatles.
