Timothy DeFoggi, who served in the Obama administration as the acting cyber security director for the HHS, was convicted in the U.S. District Court of Nebraska in Omaha for his involvement in an Internet-driven conspiracy to market child pornography and for his membership in a for-profit pornography website that specialized in “kiddie porn.”

The 56-year-old Defoggi was just one suspect in an ongoing investigation involving three kiddie porn websites. According to Justice Department officials, the webmaster for the child pornography websites has already been convicted by a federal jury for running the online forums.

According to observers who attended the trial, the prosecutor’s case against DeFoggi was shocking in its details regarding his plotting to go through with violent sexual acts against children.

16 days into the work year and I get the flu. This has not happened in years. I have been watching a couple of new programs on the boob tube: The Last Ship and The Strain. Both story lines revolve around a virus. One just flat kills you and the other turns you into a quasi zombie/vampire. Well the flu I got just turns you into a heap of achy joints and a gullet full of snot. I am going on four days, but at least I am back at work today not burning through my sick days. While I will never take a flu shot, can you say government conspiracy juice, I will say make sure to  washing hands, and not rubbing your eyes.

Yes. Brown attempted to take the gun from the police officer. The police officer overpowered Brown, fired a shot, and Brown attempted to run away. The police officer fired at Brown again while Brown was fleeing. Brown stopped and put his hands in the air. The police officer kept firing, ultimately hitting and killing Brown.

Again, Brown being a thug and the police officer’s unlawful use of force are two separate things. Yes, I do know that the police officer was reacting to the realization of the horrible…

I have no issue saying that Gran Torino is my favorite Eastwood movie, and I have almost all of them on dvd. The message of the movie is what many folks in this country either have forgotten, or don’t get: Deeds are greater than words, and when the rubber hits the road, real American men fight and die for what is right. Walt fought in Korea for people he refers to as Zipper Heads and Gooks. He ultimately sacrifices himself for these same people, and gives his most treasured possession to Tao…his car. His own family thinks he is an inconvenience. Kind of how our government treats our vets.
